Isle of Lewis And Uist

Isle of Lewis, one of the largest islands of the UK mainland, two and three quarter hour ferry trip from Ullapool, to Stornaway.

This Island is historic , stone circles such as Callanish, fill the landscape, from moorland in the north ( Lewis ) to the mountains in the south (Harris) with stunning ever changing scenery wherever you travel.

Stunning white sand beaches dot the coastline, with turquoise water, make it look Caribbean, though the temperatures may not.

stones of callanish

As we’ve traveled around Lewis we keep seeing abandoned houses, some recently abandoned some many years ago,all look v eerie. ( a few more pics in art nude page too but with ugly model)

More days wandering around the island, lots o bits hidden away waiting to be explored

Even the northern lights made a brief appearance
